Hurricane Helene has left a swath of destruction that will take years to recover.  Our pecan orchards in South Georgia are still standing, if a little worse for wear.  We will have our products ready to go by November 2024.

Peacock Orchards to compete as finalist in UGA’s 2024 Flavor of Georgia contest

Judges have selected Peacock Orchards’ product, Pecan Oil, as one of 36 finalists to compete in the second and final round of the University of Georgia College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences’ annual Flavor of Georgia Food Product Contest. Narrowed from a field of nearly 140 products, the finalists will compete on April 4 at The Classic Center in Athens with an award ceremony to follow. 

 

“Our pecan oil is made from pecans grown on our parents’ small family farm. Our pecan oil is made with care, in small batches in our cottage kitchen.  It’s aromatic, healthy, and flavorful,” said Nancy Webb of Peacock Orchards, Woodstock, GA.
